So, I was contacted by my high school friend Folake Saibu the CEO of Flakky Stitches and she nicely offered to sew me something simple. I sent her my measurements and she sent me this BEAUTIFUL print ensemble. I did not choose the fabric and I am blown away on the different print patterns and the color she chose to use.
Going away for the weekend, I wanted a dress that is short and also flowy. Something that would take the Florida sun. Something most definitely not black; I wanted a pretty subtle and misty color. I did not have to look hard before I found this blush pink cutaway dress.
It’s been almost a year since I had the pleasure of feeling white soft sand on my feet and when my sisters planned a Florida road trip, I managed to squeeze myself in . The feel of the sand + the water is so refreshing. The sounds of the waves and the view is rejuvenating. It makes you forget all your worries (for the time being), LOL.
It has been a while since my last post and I have missed writing. I did a little traveling/vacation with family only to return home and be set aback by a terrible terrible cold. I am just recovering from it and promised myself to not let this week go by without putting up a post. By the way, the saying that goes “health is wealth” is so true. Please always take sometime out to tender to yourselves….very very important!
Being that this ATL weather is still trying to figure itself out, I try to get my pictures in when I can. Finally, I am able to post the pictures of my White House Black Market yellow dress. In my yesteryears, I used to work at the WHBM boutique at Phipps Plaza and I sorta spent all I made in there. I think the story is the same for most of us in retail.
